Michel J Klus
Michel graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Finance and brings over 17 years of experience in traditional and alternative investments. His expertise spans fund selection, portfolio construction, and macroeconomic analysis, with a strong emphasis on capital preservation, a focus shaped by his experience during the Great Financial Crisis.
He began his career in 2007, helping manage Baylor University’s $1 billion endowment, where he worked across a wide range of asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and real estate. Michel consistently prioritized capital preservation while outperforming the broader market. He later specialized in hedge funds and public equities, eventually joining the largest endowment in the U.S. to help build a $3 billion hedge fund program in partnership with Blackstone and Grosvenor. Afterward, he founded an innovative e-commerce automotive dealership featuring a unique rating system for enthusiasts.
Michel is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
He resides in Dripping Springs with his two daughters, their dog, rabbit, and several fish. He enjoys being a girl dad, hiking, traveling, fishing, hunting, and anything car-related. He also loves recommending what he considers the most important investment: faith in Jesus.
